Stacza Lipinski
President
Since starting at Lowitz and Company, now Linden Workshops, in 2002, Stacza has worked in nearly all facets of this company. From talking to customers to cleaning out the slop sink, buffing bronze to baking birthday cakes, driving the forklift to designing display boards, glazing tiles to styling photographs, evaluating inventory to facilitating presentations, she has done a little bit of everything.
When Ted Lowitz decided to retire and sell the company in 2024, Stacza moved into the role of owner. As a nod to the origins of her family name, she renamed the company Linden Workshops. Stacza considers herself a steward of the Bronzework Studio, Foundry Art, and Talisman brands, and her desire to continue Ted’s vision guides her approach to running this small but mighty tile company.
Stacza loves living in Chicago with her husband, son, and too many cats. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Ohio State University and continues her art practice in her home studio when time allows.

Larsen Husby
Director of Studio Production
Larsen joined the staff in 2021. Raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, Larsen studied art at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and received his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His New England upbringing, seasoned with a dozen years in the Midwest, has given Larsen just the right blend of sophistication, hard work, and low-key friendliness that we value.
Larsen oversees our production schedule and is responsible for a large measure of our metal finishing. His steady hands, strong work ethic, and discerning eye ensure that every bronze tile and Precision Liner that leaves our studio will please our customers with just the right level of finish. When you have questions about production, installation, where to find our tiles, you will likely get Larsen’s friendly voice on the phone!
Larsen’s personal artwork grows out of his interest in geography and sense of place. He has a deep appreciation of the many ways we conceive of where we are — city, neighborhood, home, body, and mind. Beginning in 2016, in his effort to deepen his understanding of the place in which he lived, Larsen walked every pedestrian street in Minneapolis. His website “Long Trace of Minneapolis” documents the project with understated photos and thoughtful essays. You can see more of Larsen’s artwork at larsenhusby.com.

Marideth Groves
Accounting Director
Marideth’s unique combination of skills as an accountant and an interior designer fit perfectly in our studio. She is a Certified Public Accountant who studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating she worked as an auditor for the State of Texas. Later, she pursued her love of interior design and received a BFA in Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art. For many years, she worked as a kitchen and bath designer and eventually moved to Walgreen Co and worked as a Regional Design Partner.
In addition to her contribution to Linden Workshops, Marideth is a vital member of her community. She is currently the Treasurer for the PTA and is a member of the elected school board in her district, committing her time to the well-being of the students, parents and teachers in her community.
Stacza and Marideth have known each other since they met in ballet class in 5th grade. While they had dreams of working together since grade school not until this year did all the pieces fall into place.

Ethan Sherry-Whitehead
Webmaster
Ethan has been part of Linden Workshops since 2014. A native of South Bend, Indiana, Ethan studied studio art and communications at Indiana University. Both of these courses of study served him well in our studio as a jack of all trades.
After wearing many hats at Linden Workshops, today Ethan manages our website. His strong sense of the aesthetics and mechanics of web design are invaluable. We benefit every day from Ethan’s discerning eye, his ear for language, and his exceptionally high standards.

Ted Lowitz
Founder, Designer
After more than thirty-five years heading the company. Ted now serves as a mentor to Stacza, Larsen, and Marideth.
Art and business are both in Ted’s genes. His grandmother was a daring, soulful painter, and his grandfather was an innovative, generous retailer. Following in their footsteps, he created a business that was rooted in his artwork. Ted has found great fulfillment in the tile studio: designing tiles, teaching and learning from his staff, and always striving to be among our customers’ favorite, most trusted vendors.
Ted now spends his time on more personal artwork – work that aims to celebrate and enrich the ordinary moments of daily life.

Founder, Ted Lowitz, and owner, Stacza Lipinski – friends for life.
